Repairing a Tear in Passenger seat
First issue with the new car..
The leather on the seats was drying a little and despite giving it a couple of good feeds with the Autoglym cleaner/feeder which has softend things up nicely the perforated leather on the passenger seat has a tear like a join the dots across 10cm of the seat base.
One of the leather repair places has suggested a replacement panel is needed so thats going to be more than £100, and there are a couple of other places that could do with attention.
I've seen what look to be a very good condition pair of S2K seats for about £300 and I'm wondering if this would be a good option, the only thing being that these are different seats than the ones on my 56 plate, with the head rest having a hole in it rather than being solid, don't know therefore if the seat will be different in other areas as well, and not be as comfortable...
Appreciate anyone's thoughts in the matter...
