Default Replacement Catalytic converter

Hi,

My cat is dying, got a terrible rattle to it which is just getting worse. The car is an 05 plate and has the standard exhaust can anyone recommend where to buy a replacement Honda or aftermarket one as long as the aftermarket one won’t cause any problems with the sensors. I take it any decent garage or exhaust place will be able to swap it out easily?
Thanks

First, the rattle might be the heat shields coming loose, this is very common, so get it checked first.

If it is the cat, you can buy a Honda one from a Honda dealer, unsurprisingly However, the prices are very high. Item number 2 here:
Honda Car and Auto Parts | Honda HONDA S2000 | EXHAUST PIPE/SILENCER | Genuine Honda Parts | Honda Cars | Honda Motorcycles | Honda Power Products | Lings Honda Car Parts Selection

Lots of people go for Berk items like this: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...-99-a-1005808/

You could try one of the many companies who sell these, for example: http://www.cats2u.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=29768&gclid=CjwKEAjwq Z7GBRC1srKSv9TV_iwSJADKTjaDYcC7a5xrkpKOISunf2vHsqu 3a1U7LBX5FwoH3aXM0hoCctrw_wcB although I imagine the quality may not be high.

Alternatively, join up as a paying member and create a "Want To Buy" thread, as many people have these as they have decatted their cars.

It's an easy job to swap.

Closing this so it doesn't turn into a "Want to Buy" thread from a non paying guest.
