Had my retainers upgraded clutch replaced and TCT and timing chain replaced at R2 Automotive cracking bunch really looked after me and the car which now feels fantastic can't recommend them enough.

Sounds good. Out of interest what mileage was it that you had these major jobs done? I'm trying to get an idea on when I should get the clutch done on mine, currently at 74k but it doesn't feel great.

Mine has done 65k. I new the clutch was getting close to its limit and R2 automotive were very surprised it was not slipping once they removed it and see its condition so looks like I caught it just in time. The retainers I decided to get done mainly due to age as mines a 99 car and was worried about metal fatigue with bits breaking off and dropping into the engine.
But the timing chain was unexpected as I have read they are good for at least 100k mined had stretched enough to jump a tooth and now it is nice and tight absolutely silent I am very happy its all done.
I think it be worth your time getting yours checked it be a lot cheaper now rather than later.
