Cheers for the feedback! (Sorely tempted now!)

On the point above, I struggled like hell when I fitted the demister switch into the centre console... the jokers who installed the alarm LED must have pulled the wire taught when they fed it through to the control box. How exactly did you remove the LED, does it push out from below? I am loath to cut it as it is soooo tight I'm not sure there will be enough wire left to join it up again

If the LED wire's tight then you may have problems.... I pulled up the console from the clips, held onto the LED and pushed the console back down. The LED and the "crown" piece of plastic should slide out of the console. I then held the LED wire and gently pulled the crown up and off the LED. The LED could then be fed back through the console.

I figured the only way the crown would come off was over the LED as I couldn't find any join in the wire. I assumed that it had to be a friction hold.... Working on the underside of the console to fit the boot with the LED fastened would have been a very tortuous process!

Guys, ( and lurking gals), Jan's Dad has been rushed into hospital and he's quite a long way away from here. He's nearly 82 so without being too pessimistic about things, we don't know what the immediate future holds.

Mine too. Even at 28.7k the S2k's a bargain.

Mind you, if I can increase the value of my car by 4 grand with Rick's console, I might just consider it ...

That's the switch for the headlamp washers and a blank button for the heated rear window switch.

Bugger. Mine didn't come with a built in shower. Maybe you got a CRV instead of an S2000....

Mine did, however, come with a wife pi$$ take prevention device

(Try it next time she gets out of the car after taking the pi$$ out of you )
