Looking like a nice interesting build this one

On a side note does anybody know where I could get a Precision turbo rebuilt in the uk? Ive got an SC44 here that i'm going to use on my civic and would like to have it rebuilt prior to fitting it to a car

I hope this will be an interesting build for everyone. Removed the rest of the suspension arms and pulled the prop shaft today and will be removing the gearbox tomorrow. Hopefully take plenty of pictures as the weather should be a little brighter. laying under the car in the wet and rain today was no fun at all.

Next week all suspension arms will be chemically stripped, shot blasted and powdercoated ready for a full set of polybushes. If anyone knows where I can get a full set at a good price, let me know. At the minute im looking at powerflex or energy.

Collected my AEM series 2 ems this evening aswell to which I will add my UEGO wideband and boost control solenoid. Gearing up for what should hopefully be an interesting few weeks.

Shall be following this build.

Interested to see the manifold once it's built.

I bought a full set of Polybushes from Polybush themselves, they cost £420 delivered. These include the compliance bushes but not the ARB bushes.
I will watch this with interest as I am just fitting all new Brakes,Wheels,Strut Braces,Polys and some other bits and may be looking at sticking some sort of a Blower on (S/C or T/C) in the future, although I wont be going for 500 hp more like 350 at the wheels. Before I do it I want to see some realistic insurance quote.Good luck with the build.

Some bits of progress today. Things moved pretty slow until it warmed up but now all the awkward transmission bolts are loose, off it will come tomorrow along with the engine and lower front sub frame.

Plugs and clips removed ready for the trans supports to be removed

supporting the subframe as the engine is tiletd back to get at the top transmission bolt

Transmission off! TFFT. Now does anyone think it would be worth swapping to an AP2 geabox while I'm at it. The AP1 tranny I just took off has 33k on it an felt fine, but with more power will I find the AP2 boxes carbon sychro's better in the long run? Clutch will be taken care of via a very special Carbon Twin plate RPS unit and I'm looking into other possibilities with the diff.
