Default ROCKER/VALVE COVER PEELING

I seem to have the problem like most with the valve cover paint peeling.......has anybody had theirs refurbed?? I seem to remember seeing a company that took the old one, and sent back another one refurbed?? I am looking at getting it done in red of course.....

I presume it's an easy removal, and just a new gasket for the refit??

Look in the traders section. Garage R do it. And as long as your careful you should be able to reuse the gasket rubber seal. its a very easy job.

Mod edit: Guests are not permitted to sell things here.

Apologies for the slightly off-topic question but I was cleaning up the engine bay today and I noticed that the VTEC lettering has become tarnished - will metal polish clean the lettering up or will it do more damage than good?

Nooooooooo dont do that! Simply get some fine-ish sand paper on a nice flat block and rub it back and forth across the letters in a straight motion. Then just wash it in hot soapy water after and pat dry.

Heres how it came out when I did it on the civics cover.

Fine paper is better. Maybe like 800. This paper was too course but still looked good.

If the OP doesn't want to I will. Mines in good nick, just faded, getting it redone is on my todo list. I can take a photo if you want, it looks fine but you wouldn't feel so bad marking it being a bit duller.
