Default Roof doesn't lower fully

As topic title says really. I'm not aware that's it's ever gone much lower than in the picture, maybe a couple inches. In comparison to everyone else's it seems mine is still half up. Obviously it was relatively cold yesterday so it's a little stiffer than in warmer weather.
Ideas?

Looking at the picture it was obviously particularly high yesterday but it still doesn't go as low as the others normally.

I know exactly what this is!
This'll be the elastic straps on the inside of the roof which pull one of the bars back as it folds.
Over time they stretch and lose their elasticity and eventually stop pulling the bar back as much as needed which in turn leaves the roof as yours is.

There is a fix for it somewhere on the forum, I myself haven't got round to doing it.
Instead I just turn around whilst the roof is folding and give the bar a helping push, you'll see the one in question if you get out your car and fold the roof in stages.

Hi, Check the elasticated straps are doing their job and pulling the hinged bar down when the roof is being operated.

If the straps are slack then you are in danger of tearing the roof material above the door windows.

Try partially dropping the hood, then push the bar backwards, whilst operating the hood down.
If this works and it goes down completely then you need new elastic.....search elastic replacement threads.

Hope this helps

The ladyboy's roof is high too. At this time of year I drop my roof, raise it 6", drop it again and repeat. Normally works a treat.

I've got the same fault on mine and can't be arsed to fix it. Usually got the roof down anyway

I've had a couple of requests lately to make up some more, I'm in the process of moving house at the moment. But will put some together in a week or two.

The colder weather makes the situation worse as the roof fabric is stiffer.

Will post up when I've got some kits made up.
