Roof Liner Fitted!
Following on from this thread (click me) the missus spent a few hours this afternoon making one.
Here is the result.
Fitting wise here is what we did.
First of all we fitted a strip of velcro to the roof beam, tuck the velcro in as far back as possible otherwise the velcro might show when the hood is up.
Fit the roof liner (the end with the longer elastic strip) to the velcro.
Fit a strip of velcro to the front part of the roof, you need to get underneath the fabric and the plastic part of the roof. Go about midway into the gap.
Attach the other end of the roof liner to this bit of velcro.
Add a small bit of velcro to the middle bar.
Stick the opposite side of velcro to the velcro you have just stuck on and peel off the sticky backing and stick the roof lining to it, this helps with keeping the shape of the roof liner on the side.
At the back wrap some velcro to the bar where the elastic hangs down.
Sitck the opposite velcro to the elastic and pull tight and stick to the bar. Trim the excess off.
Now put the roof up and admire!
Not 100% sure what the forum rules are in regards to selling stuff outside the 'for sale section' but if anyone is interested in one please let me know as the missus is willing to make some and supply them with all the velcro etc all cut to size ready to go as a kit.

I made one using glue etc but it wasn't as neat or durable as a sewn one would be. I'd buy.

As each one takes a good couple of hours the missus is selling them for £40 each including all the velcro needed and 1st class recorded postage.
pm me if you are interested.
