Rich
I should have let you know that mine has settled down nicely after the initial tightness - thanks!

It might be my imagination but the car seem a it quieter as the roof is tighter

Yes I found it quieter, and the roof catch rattle has stopped.

Honda dealer yesterday morning:

"My roof doesn't go down to the stops anymore when I close it."

Honda dealer this afternoon:

"They all do that with age, sir"

I think I shall be buying one of these fine kits!

Fitting this kit solved the dreaded "river of water on the shoulder/lap issue" for me.

I tried putting Shinetsu on the seals. No help.
I replaced the striker plates. No help.
Nothing appeared amiss with the seal.
So I fitted the Roof elastic replacement kit. No more leak!
The new elastic pulls that hinge joint tight again, stopping the water from pouring in when you pull away after a night in the rain. And as a bonus the roof now folds down properly again.

Great kit from Richmc and easy to fit. Thanks.

Rich, have you got any knicker tightening kits left? I am fed up with having to push the bar back as the roof goes back and it doesn't look cool

For an even simpler fix I bought these from Ebay and use two of them wrapped around the two bars and can adjust to tighten as and when: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item20bbd37673

Their website says they're out of stock at the mo. Anyone know if that's a temporary thing or have they given up?

You could make some money selling these kits - I'd have one!
Modifry already does.

Just built my own kit like yours rich - looks like a good mod.
Not sure if my elastic is tighter, because I can't get my 220mm long strap anywhere near the second rivet once wrapped once around the rear one.

Is the strap length really 220mm or have I misread this?
