Mind you, it's soo new labia to sell people plates in the knowledge they'll be mis-spaced & then fine them for it. The Con-Mens'll just have to put out more speed traps, instead.

Personally, I'm not a fan of mis-spaced number plates, part of the reason I sold the S2000 plate that came with my car. It just looks a bit odd I think.

However, I would like the look of my own plate with the space removed, so I think I'll be getting that done when the plates need to be renewed

^ lol, love that plate You are lucky in the States to have alot more freedom with your plates, and what you can spell out with them (read though the thread in the main gallery, lol).

I wish we could have nice small metal plates here in the uk, rather than big slabs of plastic

Indeed, but they struggle to read the massive font on our plates, how would they cope with US ones!

Reading the EU's proposal to standardise vehicle identity plates across Europe - naturally, conforming to the central European style - I wonder what the implication would be for UK vanity plates for which people have paid large sums of money?

Does anyone know the answer?

They've only just reintroduced private plates in Belgium with any order and number of letters and numbers allowed, I think we'll be ok

Just bought S200CBB. Made the plates up & filled in the 'C' a bit more so gap is smaller. (Mine is berlina black)
