Le Car... sorry you feel like that.
To me its another mod.
Its something that makes my car more personal to me and will not look like its just rolled out of the factory.
Like buying a new pair of trainers, new clothes, a haircut.... these are mods to your person to enhance them... to me a personal plate enhances a car.

Le Car....of course its a waste of money but so what.
If we wanted to save our pennies wisely, we would all be driving Nissan Micra's.
It's nice to make your car that little bit more personal.

Have you considered S2 ODD or S2 DDD or S2 OOD- looks very much like S2 000 ??
I agree with most of the comments on this topic - a personalised plate makes your car personal to you. I've got one for my car & I aim to keep this plate regardless of which car I have.

Couple of points:-
Le Car, private plates are a bit OTT but they are also quite a good investment as they tend to appreciate rather than depreciate, probably a result of us brits being very vain.
Point 2,
related to point 1 really but the S2000 plates i.e. S200OJM are very specific to the car and the owners initials and hencewill be more difficult to get rid of and also less likely to appreciate as something like S1JAS which would appeal to all the jasons driving cars rather than the JM's driving S2000's.
I contemplated Y1JAY (1700) but that was more than the cost of an hardtop so I didn't bother.

Le Car,
It is absolutley ridiculous but then we are all as daft as eachother.
The 2CV was also a little ridiculous.
I bought S200 OSJ a whole year before the car came out.
I obsessed over getting the car for a year.
I actually gave a car dealer

ok.... the NASTY one.... i had to get it... it was calling to me...
It was just a personal thing to me really... a name i use for playing deathmatch games like counterstrike and stuff.... sort of a handle.
Also its potentially worth more than a JM plate and isn't specific to any one car...
It should look nice.... black with naaa sty spelt across the front !
it was funny because the girl on the phone warned me about the significance of 666 and that it had evil conotations with the devil and stuff.. i just laughed and said yeah i know...
