S2000 Coupe?

If Honda made a Coupe version of the S2000, would you be tempted?
Driving today with the hardtop on, I got to thinking. I haven't missed having the top down too much.
Without the hood, and with a fixed roof could be interesting. More space from losing the roof mechanism could be handy for boot and interior. The weight loss from no hood, would probably be similar to the weight of the tip top. Or not too much weight penalty anyway. Could make the windscreen surround weaker to save weight - the roof would strengthen things.
Not like the M-Coupe vrs M-Roadster, as we don't have chassis flex anyway, but food for though. Wouldn't want M-Coupe styling anyway!
Looks wise, I do love the S2000 with Hardtop. It has a wonderful stance.
Thoughts?

I can't see Honda spending money developing a Coupe when you can effectively have one if you want already, but with the added benefit of being able to take the roof off.

When I was looking for my new car a convertible roof was in the "nice to have" category whilst I was really concentrating on performance and some semblence of practicality (luggage space). If the S2000 had been a coupe I would probably have still bought it.
As Andy says, we have the best of both worlds and the S2000 does look mighty fine with a hardtop on - most roadsters look like it is an afterthought (Z3, MGF, MX5 etc.) only Porsche (996) and the new BMW 3 series really pull off the hardtop look with as much style IMO.
If you want a real laugh check out a TT Roadster with the hardtop!

I used to have a FIAT barchetta and had the same ponderings. I always thought that the wind in the hair(s) experience would far outway any benefits of a Coupe. That is until I saw the barchetta Coupe FIAT did as a concept car. It was bloody gorgeous and I would have bought one straight away!
The pictures just don't do it justice!

very nice Andy
Shame they would probably have only knocked it out LHD, that put me off getting the Barchetta back in the days when I could still conscience buying a Fiat
