Default S2000 engine

Hey,

Just wandering how much an 04/05 engine with 7000 miles on the thing would cost?? when did Honda make the transition from wire to DBW anyway? Would it go into an X reg??

Thanks,

Nick

Engine went pop... major problems with the thing. I think the guy before me had messed with it basically. and the timing bolt went so couple valves. mechanic took apart and intake camshaft bearings were scored and overheated. new head put on then put back together and then knocking heard from bottom end... (small, but still there)...

SO just cant be assed trying to spend more money on it. new engine and done...

DBW was 06, it would fit but you'd need to change all the accelerator and stuff for that to work.

I'd rather put in an unopened engine that prat about with a broken one - it is usually a fool's errand.

Don't worry about model years and DBW and shit; you can transplant 'your' manifold etc onto the new engine and it will work.

Later engines will break just as effectively if mistreated.

Just joined the ranks of the unemployed = no electric garage door ,no wasting petrol hooning around , no mods to 's' , no petrol for agitating the 'natives' , no hardtop fitting kit , no super unleaded for drives down the coast , no cool air intake , no 'just got to take the 's' for a run , no cruise control , in fact only cleaning and polishing until the Blackfire runs out (sorry Tango ) However I still got a card so the odd
