Default S2000 exclusive track day.....

Got an email from Jonny (formerly of Easytrack). He's interested in knowing if we are up for an exclusive airfield track day sometime.
I'll ask him for minimum viable numbers but post here if you might be interested.

Remember there is the Honda R track day coming up too. See elsewhere on the forum...

"Hi Paul
Hopefully you'll recognise the name, I helped organise the Easytrack event at Abingdon last year. Well since then I've moved on and formed BookaTrack.com offering days at circuits and airfields.

Just a quick e-mail to see if i could interest the group in an exclusive event at one of our airfield venues (elvington, oakington, or bentwaters).

Let me know if you're interested and i'll put some dates & prices together

Kind regards

Jonny

I'm up for it!

Seems like I'm the only S2K going to the Honda-R day - You don't have to be a member of the club.......

I think we're going to be seriously embarrased by those ITRs.....

Roughly...

Elvington = York
Bentwater = Ipswich
oakington = Cambridge

As an ex-ITR driver let me assure you that a well driven ITR will eat an S2K on a tight twisty track..... I just wish I could drive

Give me some straights where I can use the power advantage.... I think the S2K has a weight disadvantage of about 250kg

Still at least I don't need the ear plugs anymore

See the new ITR in this month's EVO?

I think I might be able to tempt my wife out of her Impreza...

Why oh why will Honda not bring it over. The civic looks pants and the gear stick makes me think I'm playing with some other bloke

So Paul, didn't need ear plugs on the drive down from Newcastle? Try it on the old concrete sections of the A1/M25.

I vastly prefer my soft, squidgy S2K....

Now if only I can keep the back end in...

The New ITR looks nice, why didn't we get those lovely Red Brembo's!!!

As my 2nd child is on the way the new ITR could well have been an option if the S2K becomes unworkable, however at the moment I'm standing my ground, I bought the wife a CR-V for ferrying around and the kids can stay in that

I think Honda UK will decide to bring the car over, particuarly when the greys start to flow in and steal sales from the Civic Type R.

The problem with Civic Type R is the car its based upon, the new Civic is apparently a very nice car but it looks like a mini MPV and thats not a good starting point for a performance spin off!

Paul, i'm up for the track day if it's Cambs. The others are a little too far for me i'm afraid.

ITR vs S2K? Give me the ITR in the wet (awesome), the S2K in the dry. Can't bear understeer myself....

I was loaned a Civic when the seatbelt recal was done. I'm sure the S2K has a bigger boot

The new Integra is indeed based on the RS-X. With the spoiler on the back it does just look like a newer ITR. Red carpet too this time. Being contentious I really didn't like the red interior on the S2K. On the ITR it was just right and why I had to have a white one

I found that the ITR doesn't understear as much as my Impreza. The benefit of the Impreza is when it starts to understear a good hoof of the throttle brings the back round

Mind you a recent high speed run in the Impreza averaged around 18mpg

A recent run through the Pyrennes made me a lifetime convert to RWD
