S2000 uses a Torsen Diff, MX-5 doesn't according to torsen, although Wiki says otherwise

That list possibly explains why you can use Hyundai Final Drive in an S2000.

It uses the final drive from a MX5 (see above link)

Honda made a big mistake by putting the Integra DC2 rear caliper on to the S2000, they probably didn't realise S2000 is a rwd car.

It's a f ucking RX-7 box & diff! Many components come from other suppliers. But are modded to Honda's spec. Just like every bloody german car buys its bits from Getrag or ZF and the unreliable bits from Bosch.

Honda rarely uses components that are truly interchangeable; take the 282mm discs that don't swap between Civics & NSXs.

Also note how PCDs & spigot sizes prevent rice boys from swapping wheels over - even between an EK & an MB & a DC.

IIRC, the man whole did the talk (many years ago) for those of us who went to the Honda Institute day said that it was the same diff.

Do i suspect that it's a generic part that is fitted elsewhere in the range with an S2000 'marque' up? Yes, I do.
If a common part is shared across models it uses a single part number and the price is the same irrespective of whether you are ordering it for an NSX or a Jazz.

Chris.
Years of dealing with VAG stuff have left me permanently mistrusting i'm afraid and dealing with Hondas aftercare service did little to change that.

Got a mate who works at ZF so going to ask him if he has time to do any digging

See here

and here

For the front brake bits - prices are the same. I'd take Chris' word on this one.
