i get 200-250 miles urban, around 350 mixed & 350-400 longer journeys.
so far all i've had to change are consumables. i had a big issue with the hood but eventually forced honda to pay for a new one.
i believe latter cars (2009 onwards?) may have some fairly major issues with engines going bang.

I replaced my S1 Elise in sept 09 and since then I have spent £16,389 on fuel in the S2000 and a big chunk on unnecessary mods.
I have averaged 31mpg over that time but then I have an 80 miles daily commute and don't often get the chance to drive it like I stole it.
Plus points over the S1 Elise;
1: Not having to drive with a towel over your knees in wet weather
2: Not having to get out the car and find your Allen key to take the roof to bits.
3: Being able to change things like the alternator without having to remove the rear window and lower your youngest and smallest child into the back of the engine bay to undo stuff
4: Being able to take luggage AND a passenger on a driving holiday rather than either/or.
5: The roof again. It's sooooo brilliant after the S1.

Hello all.
Thinking of changing my Lotus Elise for a Honda S2000 and just want to ask how much you pay on average to fill up the tank from empty to brimmed and how many miles you get out of a tank.
Also, what are the running costs and reliability like? I'm guessing the reliability is second to none as it's a Honda but just want to ask people who already have the S2000.
Any info appreciated.
Cheers

Could you please tell me where you buy your 95 RON, 50 litres @ £1.20 sounds like a bargain to me
I'd be willing to ignore what it says in the manual (Always use a minimum of 98 RON) for that price.
