Will try. I've been turbo charged for some months, and after removing that i've just been using a filter stuck onto the throttle body So I will have to rely on memory of the airbox noise!

The difference after fitting will be tricky too as i'm bedding a final drive in, so not pushing the car. It's also not mapped correctly so not a good example to use

What I can say is the K&N is very nicely packaged with what appear to be a good set of instructions. Sort of quality you would expect from K&N.

I will probably be selling it in a couple of months as I have a J's Racing carbon one coming, which is quieter.

Sounds good. Think from what I've read it seems the way to go and no risk of the dreaded and much talked of hydro lock!

Any chance of putting 1st dibbs on your FIPK for when your J's intake arrives?

My K&N sounds fantastic - a really good noticeable growl from about 4k upwards & mental sound in vtec

HKS rsk if you can find one. Sounds absolutely hard as nails on cam and seems to sharpen throttle response. Didn't like the chrome so I did mine Matte black.

I used an AEM V1 intake on my last S. Sound was amazing and I had no problems at all with hydrolock. I cut up a plastic plant pot to make an umbrella, worked a treat! Only £1.99 as well!

I have a K&N Typhoon on mine and it sounds awsome, much better than with the OEM airbox lid off. There's an in car video here https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/823...t__p__20288696. Please don't judge the (very poor) driving. I have uploaded more from the same day on You Tube, a quick search for paulf1011 and you'll find all my poor efforts and the sound track you need.
