Default S2000 Modifications

Hello all, hope everyone is well!

Looking to have a play with my 06 S2K - cannot wait to start! I have a few questions regarding modifications:

1. Which coilovers would you recommend for road use? My budget is £800
2. Can anyone recommend a car audio shop as i would like to have a double din screen installed in the dashboard with apple car play etc ( im based in South London).
3. If i was to have a custom exhaust made, what kind of specs should i be looking at if i wanted to make minor performance gains? Can anyone recommend a custom exhaust fabricator in the South London area?
4. Im looking at getting an AEM v2 intake. Is there any other good intakes which offer minor performance gains i have missed out? Budget £500
5. If i have any roof issues - anywhere in my area to take it?
6. Looking at an aftermarket gearshifter - someone mentioned to me an ARC. Any other suggestions?
7. Can someone point me in the right direction for a Alcantara trimmed steering wheel?

Many thanks!

  1. At that budget, I'd stick to OEM for road use. At a push, the Meister's are apparently ok
  2. Try Impulse in Watford https://impulsecar.co.uk/ who have done lots to S2000s. Or just mount a phone and use Android Auto which works a treat. See this thread for guides: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-el...g-club-142163/
  3. No idea, but you won't make much extra, mostly about noise, and most likely you'll suffer nasty drone.
  4. That'll do. Most intakes will give you a few bhp, but the OEM is very good. Aftermarket is mostly about noise.
  5. Monsoon or Carhood Warehouse are based south of London
  6. See here for gear gaiters https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-irela...ervice-860029/

Heated seats is a pretty easy DIY, if you search, you'll find some good guides. A decent coat is a lot easier!

Good coilovers are Bilstein PSS or PSS9, KWv3 or Ohlins,

A custom exhaust will drone. Do the mod first if it's just more noise you're after.

Whats the goal with the coilovers? I think suspension is a 'you get what you pay for' area. For road use only, I think you'll struggle to find a better all round solution than OEM at that price point. (New, at least) So if your end goal is just to fill the arches a little better then, consider lowering springs on stock shocks.
I've currently got Miester R's on mine, in pursuit of a more accomplished drive on track. This, together with the adjustability acheived this, but If I'm honest I'd say the day to day running is slightly compromised. its not crashy, but not quite as composed over the bumpy uk roads as standard.
To that end I've recently bought a used set of Bilstein B16s in your budget - but I've had to be patient.
