Default S2000 new owner

hey guys/gals!

thought i'd say a hello first up. i could well be a happy s2000'er by next week or so.

bio:
male, just turned 25, and insurance isnt that unreasonable for a 2000. current car is the 95 prelude vtec which is pretty clean for it's age.
lived in coventry for a few years now and every since i sat in an s2000 that as in for service at work once, i fell inlove with it. just loved that enclosed and almost claustrophobic feeling you get from a true 2seater. 1 day i said i'll own a 2000, and that day is coming soon

gonna have a look at one tomorrow night in birmingham, see if it's worth my money, sort a loan out and go from there!

one issue that does keep coming back into my head..... i'll be keeping the car on the road untill i move out and get my own place). it's a quiet area and no damage to cars happens. dad reakons it's a bad idea to keep *that* sort of car on the road.
s2000 hardly the type of car a thief would go for since it's not excatly a scoobie or evo etc.. anyone have any experiences?

Welcome to the fray! You'll love it.

I park on the road sometimes at home. Regrettably I did get egg'd when parked on the road but a few yards away from my front door. Ho hum.

It can happen anywhere mate. Doesn't have to be at home. Just last week I picked up a ding in my nearside rear panel in Southampton Airport car park, and there are assorted stories of random vandalism when out and about.

But that doesn't - for me, yet - detract from the fun!

oh, forgot to add, that 2000 im looking at 2morrow is apparently someone from here (dunno username). she pointed me towards this club (s2kuk).

dents and scratches aint much of an issue - 1 thing u cant get away from really, but thinkgs like windows put through and knifed soft-tops are of minor concern from any of my beloved cars

Be careful using text-type in here, there are spelling police which get very nasty!!

*Edit*

Forgot to say, enjoy the car when or if you get one but trust me it is an all new driving experience, respect its handling or you may end up in bits. They are not the best in this moist weather.

Well... I would love to arm the text police with shotguns..

It is bloody annoying when you read what looks like an interesting post and then you are subjected to....HOW R U M8. C U 2MORROW @ ME HOMIES speak.

It's just incomprehensible to 99% of the populus of the age of 30.

Maybe we should just start posting in Latin.... that would sort them out.
Now what's Latin for VTEC???

Good luck on your S2000 purchase!

VTEC is derived from the latin phrase "Vae victis!"

It is...honest.
