Why didn't they use this as the safety car during the F1 race. Much better looking/more interesting than that tacky old Merc they always roll out.
Have you noticed how the F1 cars are struggling to keep their tyres whilst the 600bhp* Merc guns it? The S2000 simply hasn't got the firepower

*guess

I thought I saw a couple of Hondas used as pace cars for the Grand Prix. Sure it wasn't just Merc

Yes there was a white one in the GP. I think the proper safety car had only just come in when they needed it again , so they had to send something else until the proper car could get there.

That Merc is seriously fast and driven by racing drivers. An S would be way too slow.

Fair point Craig. i was thinking more of the visual aspect of it. If they still made an NSX then tht would be more suited, but like you said that still probably wouldn't be quick enough for the F1 guys.

Even Lewis Hamilton was moaning that the AMG pace cars were way too slow, and that was a E63

I'm surprised they didn't use a CLK 55 AMG DTM

Caparo should offer up the T1 to be the pace car at the British grand prix
