Default S2k Hols Pics

For those who read the previous thread giwry8hgvhg5eqi this is the thechnophobic sequel !!javascript:emoticon('')

Ok starting from hertfordshire I set off to the lakes and the pics here are up through Kirkstone pass running from Windemere to Ulswater. Anyone up that way must look up this road as real fun driving !
Drive up to the top can be sedate because of so much holiday traffic so a stopping point is the Pub at the top to look a the view and wait for a gap in the traffic before doing the downhill section.

this is taken at the bottom of the hill heading to Ulswater the road comes down the valley between the hills.

Scotland turned out to be excellent driving to out into the Glens north of Dundee and took advantage of the break in the weather to clean up the car ready for the home run in a few days.
Wanted to impress Tango man that I was still looking after it after all his hard work !

even had my nephew give it the once over before I set off !

Heading for York Tomorrow and will post some of the moors trip later. (yes i know i forgot to take pics of the Dundee area, two reasons, one i was driving and enjoying it too much to bother stopping and because its been pissing down most of the time !

There's nothing quite like a shiney black motor.

Kirkstone Pass (also known as "The Struggle" ) is great fun to blat across as long as you pick the right time.
It can be quite busy at times and the road is very narrow in parts so watch out for oncoming traffic.

I was a bit shocked about the hard top too but the scenery looks lovely and the car is in very fine fettle.

I've noticed the same irregularity that J8mie pointed out under the indicator on my car. I thought that perhaps mine had been pranged before I bought it but maybe it is a feature.

Looking forward to seeing some moody moors pics.

I've just realised my avatar is taken at Ullswater and is probably about 15 minutes before I last drove Kirkstone Pass (on a lovely quiet day).
