Surprised to see the hardtop on in the middle of summer (not that you could tell with the crap weather)
Some fantastic scenery up there though, did a similar thing to you a little over a year ago.

Kirkstone Pass (also known as "The Struggle" ) is great fun to blat across as long as you pick the right time.
It can be quite busy at times and the road is very narrow in parts so watch out for oncoming traffic.

Was in the Lakes on Friday and did the Kirkstone pass and the Honister Pass (Blurters recommendation)..........The Honister Pass and the roads round Buttermere are something else.
There was a bit too much traffic to have a good blast, but approx 300 miles and 10 lakes wasn't a bad day out, and the roof was down all day.
Also spotted two Moonrock (or Silverstone) and a yellow S2 whilst inthe lakes.

I fell in love with the Lakes about 10 years ago....It is on my list of places to take the S2000. trouble is keeping your eye on the road AND trying to enjoy the scenery Would love to move there but it's so bloody expensive to buy a property within the park. Even more so than Surrey!
Nice paintwork looks like black glass
