All standalone ecu's do away with obd2 as they have their own system to some extent so Obd devices won't work.

Personally I'd use an android device and £10 Obd Bluetooth device you'll get a bit more functionality too.

I've seen one on this forum mounted in the sunshade. They used a passenger sunshade from a LHD car, removed by mirror and mounted the scan gauge in its place. It looked quite good.

Scan Guage - Radio Door mounted.

I got this quite a few years ago now, changed the first one for a later model of firmware that has support for AFR. Mine displays Air Temp, Water temp, AFR then something else like Loop/RPM/speed

Takes a fair bit of butchery to cut out the back and reduce the thickness of the front layer but can be done with a dremel. I still have the OEM radio but will be swapping that one day, I will have to avoid anything too bulky or with a large centre mounted knob.
