For ten large, the infamous Honda Rear Arch Rot may be the biggest problem.

Tony I have received your email but for some reason when I reply the message fails.

I can't seem to send private messages on this forum, probably linked to me being a new member.

I've looked at your car ad many times fella and it's a stunner but I am really looking for face-lift model, something that I'm beginning to realise may be a fruitless venture for under 10k!

I'd have enquired about your car regardless but I'm still trying to find a buyer for my motorcycle and didn't want to waste yours or anybody else's time until I actually have the funds ready to buy.

New users need to wait 2 weeks before pms start working. Or you can join as a paid up member and they will work straight away.

Small update in my search!

First, thanks to this forum's eddw for allowing me to sit in his sweet S2k a couple weeks ago.

My search has kinda lost a bit of focus this past week after I let my dad's negative opinion about the S2k get under my skin.

I've been considering different cars like the 370z, z4 coupe, boxsters, audi tts and yesterday I even test drove a mk3 mx5, which I'll admit I tested in the rain but I really don't think is the car for me.

Today I took the family to a used car garage in Glasgow that had an s2000, tt and a boxster just to see how I fitted in all of them.

I'm glad I did - it just reaffirmed it's an S2000 I'm after. Even the wife, who just a couple days ago confessed she didn't see what all the fuss was about said she 'got it' now, which helps!

The car itself was a 2006 with just 40k but to be honest it wasn't in the best condition at all. Just goes to show mileage isn't everything.

The search continues...
