Your all correct (of course). Rubber is all torn where the clips come out. Strangely only noticed after last service (which included new pollen filter !)
New one ordered. Thanks Groova for the link !

yep, handy hint for the removal of the clips from the scuttle find a (6mm?) socket and push up from underneath to close the barbs and they just slide free - obvs what the service guy didn't do - hence the torn rubber !!!

I took mine off when I first changed the pollen filter and never bothered refitting it, does it do do any good having it fitted, I wondered if leaving it off might allow hot air to exit from under the bonnet and so aid cooling.?

So my replacement from Lings arrived today. the clips are all embedded in the rubber after all (which is why I thought they were part of it).

I ordered 2 extras to replace the lost /damaged ones, plus I have the 5 from the old strip. If anyone wants them (no charge, but you might consider a small contribution to the S2KUK charity of the year ) then PM me your address. I'll even pay the cost of the stamp. I will split them if you don't want them all....

Martin
I'd be a bit concerned about water running from there down into the back of the engine bay. There seems to be a lot of electrics back there.
