Default Seatbelt Recall

Hi guys,
I've just had my letter inviting me to bring in the stook for the seatbelt recall.
Fine I thought until I did a search on the forum and found some pictures of the work being carried out. All I can say is it is a pretty big procedure, what worries me is, will they put it all back together properly
Have any of you guys had it done ?
How long did it take ?
Any comments ?

Thanks in advance,

AnDy.

No problems original, but I've noticed a squeak recently.

Hello, this is my first post. I,ve had the s2000 since 6th May 2000 and without a doubt it's the car I've been looking for all my life.

Andy in reply to you seatbelt recall query.. I had mine done a few months ago and was going to wait at Brindley Honda, Cannock, whilst they did the work. However I opted for the courtesy car when they told me that they'd only done one other and it took the guy 6 hours!! (Honda allows 2hrs. for the job). He was a little quicker on mine taking about 4 hours. The work seemed satisfactory.. difiicult to tell. I suppose you've really got to have it done though with a safety issue.

I still haven't seen another S2000 outside of a dealership!!.

My car was in for the whole day but they did do a couple of other bits and pieces to it, including hard wire for my V1.

Ive had my s2000 since March 2001, and I've not heard anything from the dealer about a seatbelt recall...

What is the fault that needs fixing ?

Nasty

I think you'll find your car was made after those that needed the mod.

N-A-$-T-Y I suggest you check your vin number to establish when your car was manufactured.
My car is a 'y' reg registered during March this year and I assumed it was a 2001 manufactured model, I was wrong (it was produced at the back end of last year).
If your car is effected Honda will no doubt contact you soon.
Its just worrrying when you see half the car in bits for such a relatively simple fix but there again what do I know.

Cedric, nice to know Brindley have done this before, I was considering taking it there.

I just remebered, as an original owner (i.e Sept 99) they offered a bottle of Moet and Chandon (70 cl) and a box of Belgium chocolates, lovely!, as an apology for the seatbelt recall.

The tonneau cover was glossed over with a
