Seibon Fender and Possible Tyre Size Choice
Hello Ladies and Gents,
I've got a pair of Seibon 10mm+ fenders coming in the post and what I wanted to know... is there any issues with running them without the arch liner?
Also Ive got a set of TE37 in 17x8.5+40 and 17x9+65 and these are the possible tyre combinations I am thinking of using not sure which ones to go with yet.. but I'm thinking maybe b or c from my list.
a) 225/45 and 255/40
b) 235/40 and 255/40
c) 245/40 and 255/40
d) 245/40 all round
e) 255/40 all round

Hmm, I don't understand those wheel sizes.
A 17x9 et65 will sit 19mm furthur imboard than your front, so basically your front track will be wider than the rear.
Tyre sizes I'd go a 245/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear

What do you think Rob 15mm or 20mm spacers.
And what do you think about not using the arch liner in my seibon fenders.

I'd go 20mm at the rear, your wheels are staggered widths so it would be wise to run slightly staggered offsets too
plus you'll want to bring the rear out a bit due to the 10mm wider front fenders .
I'd actually go for 245/40 rear 235/40 front if your getting spacers

Right. I see. Thanks.
The reason I asked about the rear spacer was because I worked out 15mm for the rear spacer, by subtracting the front offsets and adding it to the rear.
OEM is +55 and mine is +40 so the difference of +15 is the spacer size I was going to use in rear. That would bring the rears out to +50 from +65.
But I'm not sure if I'm working it out the right way.
Cheers mate.

Your wheels are 12mm thinner at the front or 6mm per side.
Yours rears are 25mm further outwards -6mm as they're 6mm wider than per side than the fronts giving a 19mm difference in relation to the arch.
So your rear will sit 19mm further inwards. That's how I work it out anyway, hope that makes sense.
