Thumbs down Seized Suspensions Bolts or Deteriorated Bushes

In the likely event that the UK Owners Club will be raising the matter of siezed and/or corroded suspension parts with Honda UK in the very near future, it would help the Committee if owners with first hand experience of the problem could let us have the details.

Clearly it will help our case with Honda if we can cite numerous instances of the problem and the action/inaction of dealers in respect to it.

Can any owners who have suffered from a problem due to seized bolts or corroded bushes please post their details here and/or pm me with the information?

I would anticipate we will need the following details ...

1) Vehicle details (hence the suggestion you pm rather than post)
2) How/when problem first identified
3) Action you have taken to resolve the problem (incl names of dealers or other garages)
4) Costs you have incurred to date directly relating to this problem

(If anyone thinks I've missed something off this list, please suggest additional items)

I appreciate there will be a large number of you who have yet to experience any suspension problems but who are justifiably concerned in light of the number of threads on the subject over the last few days (indeed weeks/months/years). However, in the first instance at least, I think we need to confine our communications with Honda to those owners with actual first hand experience of the problem.

Please feel free to add any comments or suggestions on the subject.

Turtle and Biker1 have replaced bushes on their cars but I think it was to uprate or grease them rather than because they had failed.
