Serpentine belt - OEM or ContiTech opinions?

Hi chaps,

Figured it's worth doing this belt too soon to tick another thing off the list. It's on 97k and looks fairly old.

Has anyone used the Continental belt, ? ( https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/H...b742c41&000108 )

A good price from ECP, I think the OEM one is far more, reckon this one does the job equally as well? Thanks guys! :)

Serpentine Belt

Hi I too looked at mine and could see the ribs were well worn.
I got a Gates belt from the JDM Nissan shop on ebay at £17.99.
Excellent quality and interestingly once fitted am sure the battery charge improved.

Gates one here too

Only Gates or Continental. Bought the Conti yesterday at my local parts dealer. The same as Flanders one.
Never had problems with conti.

The tensioner has marks to show when the belt needs to be replaced. Looked at it? Betcha it's way out of spec with this many miles on the engine. :)

This has been on my to do list for a while now.

Had the jdm nissan shop "gates belt" on my watch list for ages.

Thanks for the recommendation peeps.

Looking to replace the idler and tensioner bearing too.

The conti one works out really cheap with the current "sale70" promotion at ECP. Only £13.97
Not bad value.

I assume the genuine Honda one is just way over priced.

Mine did 60k before I changed it. Literally a 1 minute job. Very nice design.

Belt has no price on ling's but tensioner does.. £240! Ouchie
