Hi all,

I've been away from the forum for a while and not long moved to Cheshire, so I need some recommendations on where to take my pride and joy to get a service and MoT in the area. Am just coming up to 58K on a 54plate, but she has been off the road over winter and can probably use some TLC.

I'm based in Barnton and looking for somewhere ideally within 30mins, so Chester, Warrington, Northwich areas maybe.

Any idea how much I should be looking to pay nowadays? I'm hoping this wont cost the earth. Is there anywhere that do dicounts for forum members?

I'm also looking for somewhere to do detailing / paint repairs as (on top of the usual paint swirls and bird stains) some guy reversed into me scraping the rear bumper and then drove off at speed. Needless to say I was not impressed epecially as I had just come back from my grandmothers funeral. He also cracked the rear number plate surround and broke two of the parking senors


Any help and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

My friend has his own garage, I.N. Motors in Wettenhall. He also helps out at Staton Road in Northwich (he's a master tech who outsources his expertise). He does all the work on my car.

I spoke with him earlier (I've known him for 20+ years) and he's at Station Road all week. If you get chance drop by and have a word. His name is Ian Nicholas.

For detailing I use Iain Brown @ Finer Details, Rochdale.

All spray work is done at Prospray Warrington.
