Default Servicing Aircon units.

I've just had the 36,000 mile service done and it was suggested that I might consider having the aircon unit serviced and regassed.

I havent noticed any problems and often use aircon in the winter/rain (have heard horror stories about unused units) to keep the windows clear.

Any one else had this done?

How often does it need to be done?

Forgot to ask how much it costs.

Cheers

Certainly the filter could do with being changed. I wouldn't regass if the unit was still working acceptably. How much was your 36k service ? Mine's in a few weeks.

Thanks, thought it was a bit premature for regassing.

Is this the same as the pollen filter which Tifosi Red is suggesting I change to stop my car smelling like an old folks home?

My S will be due for its first service in a month or so, can the dealer be trusted with changing the filter at the same time?

It's fairly easy, if a little fiddly (small hands useful) - you could always do a DIY job.
