As long as it is a UK spec car (i.e. not JDM) it will not make much of a difference. I have noticed that I get better mileage with V Power than Momentum, but the performance is the same. Regular unleaded is fine as well. Like almost all modern cars, the ecu will compensate for the fuel, within reason.

I always stick super in as it's mapped for that ron from the factory but 95 will be fine.
I'm sure i've posted that before somewhere...

I use Momentum and on my '56 plate it gives me the best performnace/economy, anyone considering using ordinary unleaded needs to take into account you can get around 30 more miles per tank on super, in most cases making it more economical to use super rather than unleaded.

Yeah I did notice that when running on 95 the car didnt seem to have any better mileage consumption, when having to fill up with 95 I thought hmmmm being cheaper i will get more miles out of this tank and it was'nt the case at all!! Is there a reason for this as some people have been saying on here they have been running 95 for 3 years or so, add that up and its a lot of miles they are missing out on by not using high octane fuel.

Absolutly, the only way to prove the point is to do the boring calculator bit witch I have, and in my case at least have proved super to be more economical.
I think one reason is you have to push the peddle harder to get the desired effect.
There's probably some tech reason that will pop up later in the thread.

The day I bought my S I looked up the nearest Shell station on the sat nav to buy some v-power but it turned out to be some tiny little shell petrol station that didn't have v-power So I put £20 of regular in to get home then its drank nothing but the good stuff since.

Can't comment on performance difference as the car was new to me at the time. Didn't run rough though.

It's mapped for 95 to 98
