Also ordered one, I'll take a before/after shot after I've tried the sponge + gliptone cleaners.

Went to homebase, poundstretcher, asda - none round here. Went home, pan scrub, fairy and leather feed. Bobs yer uncle.

I don't think so, but you are not likely to do this too often ... maybe twice a year ... if that.

exalto:: I don't think that is a good idea, the products you use and the materials to apply it are too rough in my opinion, you should think of leather like you would your skin, if you get too abrasive with it you will shred it and damage it. The purpose of the 'magic sponges' is simply to pull out the embedded grime, then if required feeding the leather afterwards replaces the natural moisture that leather requires to feel and look at its best.

Oh I didn't use the rough side, and it was but a smidgeon of fairy. I know what you mean but was so p!ssed off at coming home empty handed that I got all Macgyver and improvised.

Came up lovely though.

If anyone is going to try one of these cleaning methods such as magic eraser, brillo pad or fine wet and dry (yes I've seen that mentioned). Then just remember to do a little at a time, dry it off and check your results.

Got one at the weekend. Superb results.

Fed the leather after with Gliptone. My drivers seat now has a nice matt finish and so does the steering wheel.
