Default Smashed passenger window, slashed roof & empty car

Hiya

Just need to vent my anger and thought you guys might understand.

Last night some enterprising individual decided to make their millions by smashing my passenger window, slashing my roof on both side and nicking everything in the car. I'm torn between thinking 'scumbags' and 'how sad that someone has a life where doing that it necessary for whatever reason'. Even saw them run off out the window when the alarm went off.

So...one new passenger window to be replaced, one softtop to be replaced, one new ipod transmitter cable to purchase. One very large excess to be paid on the insurance and a shudder when I think of what my renewal will be. Can't be replaced; the driving gloves that were a gift from family, the scarf I bought in Paris, my lovely driving hat that kept the sun out of my eyes every day this summer and the Dior sunglasses I got married in four years ago.

At least it didn't happen while it was parked at home - that's something I guess.

Angry, upset and sad.

On hold to the claims line as I type.

Is it worth making a claim?

Well he should be easy to spot wearing all of that, don't worry I doubt it will suit him

On a serious note thats terrible, you are right to wonder about his ridiculous decision and perhaps his circumstances, in the meantime take a deep breath, keep talking about it and maybe break something

Scum sadly - did you leave 'stuff' in view for them or was it all tucked away in the storage bins?

If i park in a crappy area, i will remove everything from view and also lock the storage areas and either take stuff with me or lock it in the boot.

edit: Time for a Monsoon hood?

have you had the old bill out mate? i had my car broken into last year, the old bill got a print off of the dash and caught the little Pr!ck.
8 weeks later he went down for 3 months. i never got my stuff back but i took a bit of comfort knowing he got what he deserved.

And please don't leave goddies on show in your car again.

I know what word I would use to describe these cretins, but can't post it here. We need to bring back dungeon conditions and bread and water, they have no human rights having proved they are not human.

T**sers.

It's good to believe in karma in these things....someday soon they'll catch some untreadtable STD and someone will steal their own pride and joy and burn it out in a council car park....
