Experienced the first 'twitchy' back end moments of the winter this morning as I travelled to work at 7am on some country roads in Essex, not pleasant but at least it woke me up a bit I guess! When I got to work I read on the internet that the road I had just been driving on had been closed due to an accident involving a motorbike and 'ice' - be careful out there peeps!

Same here in Herts. I took it very carefully on the lanes, but got caught out on the through residential road that I use. I had a few four wheel drifts and a couple of back end slides. A very adrenalin fuelled fifteen minutes.

It seems that running out of grit last year has seen our local authority to not grit unless absolutely essential

I suspect the next few weeks shall be full of interesting discussions about winter tyres and Autosocks.

I also expect the annual collection of bumpers and bodywork on the nearby roundabout to start growing quite soon.

Well Doris got her new mobile house and is going to be washed, waxed and put to bed for the winter. The Shed is now coming into its own.
Trying to sort out how to grit the office entrance is proving amusing now.

Well, until it's physically impossible for me to drive her she's staying on the road as my daily driver All my tailhappy moments so far have been driver induced and loving every second of it

The exact reason I've just had a couple of brand new eagle F1 GS-D3's put on. £248 well spent for the winter.

That first "whoops" thread is likely to be from me dicking about with my racelogic TC....

Although I may just leave it set to "wet" and stop messing around trying to provoke it to come in.

had my first twitchy moment last night on a sweeping bend on the motorway.........luckily i wasnt accelerating or decelerating, just gone round a bend and the temp was about 4 deg, the back end started to come out and then fished a bit, while i was screaming......lol

definitely got the heartbeat up a few beats and instead of travelling at 70mph i then decided to drive at 50mph. VSA was on and all four tyres have good grip on them
