Default Soft cotton interior cover

Hi guys,

I bought my S a couple of months ago and it came with a really decent exterior cover however the previous owner also used a soft cotton cover underneath it to prevent rub marks on the pain. I would like to get something similar as I don't have garage and the bad weather will be here soon.

I've considered buying some flannel material from ebay and making one but it seems to be around £40 for the material plus quite a lot of time. Before I go down this route I was wondering if there were any other possible options? I've searched online and soft interior covers are big bucks!!!!

Thanks in advance.

How about a few white XL bath towels sewn up? You could wash them in non bio liquid then fabric conditioner and tumble dry them to keep them really soft.

I'm after something similar to protect the car whilst in the garage. Its a tight fit so i'm worried about scratching it as i go in and out over the winter.

How about this:

interesting options... my predicament must be pretty common. I'm thinking lots of Ss will need protecting in the winter with a cover but with the bad wind a car will get trashed by most covers pretty quickly, dual layer with a friction barrier must be the only way to go?

Has anyone tried a cosmos cover? Do they fit reasonably well? £48 is pretty reasonable and not worth making something at this price...

Make sure the car (and cover!) are clean - and use plenty of wax.

Otherwise, you can make matters worse.

My biggest garage problem has been some clumsy cunt in an NSX door-dinging the front wing.

Yes, no matter what cover you have if the car is covered in dust it will rub and mark the paint.

Was just thinking an extra layer of soft cotton was the safest as this is what the previous guy did – made sense to me...

Surely if you are that bothered about marking the paint, park it in a garage/indoors? No cover will stop UK winter corrosion.

lol yes, obviously if I had a garage available then it would be in there. As I don't I was just looking for a way to protect it over the worst of the winter months and I had seen dual covers and thought it was a sensible idea

I bought mine from Classic Additions.

Really pleased with the quality, fits like a glove (although it should as its custom made)

yes looks very nice indeed. About £100 by the looks of it... I currently have a £200 outdoor Stormshield cover by specialistcovers.com and it looks a decent bit of kit. Was just looking for a sub £50 soft cover to go underneath it... Perhaps nothing exists

How do you keep your garage so clear? I have one connected to the house but it's stacked with bikes, tools, bike racks, ladders, paint, fridge freezer, cupboards, tool boxes... the list goes on. Actually the only thing it doesn't include is an S2000. I would love to put it in the garage but it would mean moving everything out which isn't really an option
