Default Soft Top Glass Window

My 04 has, what appears to be, a piece of self adhesive Velcro between the glass and the hood. One of these pieces of Velcro has almost come away on one side of the hood (was it ever stuck to the glass?) - will the glass fall out or is it some sort of draft excluder? If I replace the Velcro, do I just use one side the Velcro (hook or loop?) and stick it to the hood, or do I use both parts of the Velcro (hook and loop) with one piece stuck to the hood and the other stuck to the glass?
All help, links, etc., welcome.

Mine had that issue too. I put it on the to do list, didn't do it and there were no ill effects that I could measure. I'm sure someone like uncle fester will be along shortly to give a proper grown up explanation and solution; in the interim, nothing to worry about in my experience.

Anyone figure this out? Looks like an adhesive would put them back but not sure what the OEM fitment was. Noticed these 'flapping' recently so curious if anyone has fixed the problem.
