soft top leak

Hello,
I don't know if this has ever been an issue for people or if it has already been asked here but I couldn't find it so I'm going to ask...
Please help here...

During heavy rain the soft top leaks. The part that is near the top of the front wind screen part, the pointy part where the roof ends is the part that leaks from both sides. When there isn't too much water it's ok. But during heavy rain or after a car wash it leaks...

Any one has any issue with this? If so does any one know how to fix it please?

Thank you very much in advance...

i have the same problem. replacing the rubber around the windscreen should do it.

Before buying the expensive seal try the following.

1) open the soft top and clean all of the seals around the windscreen
2) clean the side window seals on the soft top - easiest done when partly open.
3) The seal at the top of each A pillar is complicated with a drain channel built in - check these are not full of muck - if they are carefully clean them out.
4) get some Shin-Etzu silicone grease from your dealer and massage it into all the seals - don't use too much and work it well into the rubber.

5) Hopefully this will effect a cure. Close up and wait for the next rain storm. (Even the dealers don't seem to know that all the seals need greasing twice a year despite the fact it says so in the handbook.)

6) If you still have a leak after this then check the following -

7) Check the catches at the front that hold the roof down are not worn or loose. They should be slighty compressing the soft top into the seal. Wind noise is usually a give away on this - too much and catches are loose.
8) Check the side indows are correctly meeting the seals on the A pillar and the soft top. They should not be pushing up too much or this can cause a leak. similarly they should not be too low.
