Have you tried adding it on to your household insurance. I know someone in the game whose household policy will cover track and racing motorbikes for an additional small premium. Might do similar with a car. Ncb wise you won't lose any if it is renewed within 2 yrs.

Insured mine on a laid up policy with classic line insurance, was less than £90 for the year, car insured with an agreed value of £10k.

While I was restoring a car many years ago, I just added it to my house contents insurance


Well technically my dad added it to his insurance as I was a youngster still living / renting at home...
