its a quallity peice, looks good but dont expect any increase in engine output
not 100% but is it the spoon one that requires the underside of the bonnet cutting?

I had a fake spoon snorkel for most of my ownership and I do feel that it solved a heatsoak problems. I had a spoon yellow filter at the same time.

You dont need to cut your bonnet but might need to adjust your bonnet catch/rubber stops by a mm or two. If you do it well it will look flush.
You obviously need to remove or cut your air guide. I removed mine and then got a simple CF rad cooling plate which I trimmed.

I would NEVER pay nearly £300 for it though. Get on ebay and buy a CF or Kevlar fake from HK. MUCH cheaper.

Examples..

Be careful though there is a difference between 00-02 and 03-current. Those I posted above look to be pre 04, where a brace was fitted across the bumper which gets in the way of the snorkel. The spoon snorkel you link to looks pre 04. You will need to check it fits. I recall they made a different snorkel for 04 onwards.

Bonnet does not need cutting, however it is designed for the pre facelift bumper.

The snorkel WILL FIT the facelift as I got it installed on mine, however you will need to remove the front brace (a metal bar in front of the radiator) and cut a little bit of the plastic off the grill in the bumper.

I took a ball pein hammer to the bonnet & reshaped the frame slightly, so my bonnet fits perfectly flush.

Like Nick say, heat soak IS reduced on a black car and I'd swear there is a tiny bit better response (and induction noise) at very high speeds.

Probably about slightly less effect than switching the aircon on/off so what, 2-3 BHP?
