Spoon ECU in UK Spec Honda S2000

Just wondering if a Spoon JDM S2000 Spoon ECU would fit and run a UK spec S2000. I have been onto Spoon Europe and they are on about earthing wire number 15 on the UK Spec ECU.

Anyone have any ideas or have any different suggestions?

Not the only thing they have in common ;)

Im weighing up ECU's at the moment. its a trade off between an experiment with a Unichip or the J's racing ECU.

If you are sticking with FI it would be better to get an AEM.

Yep, but im looking down both avenues IYSWIM :)

The AEM is good for FI as you say, but overkill for NA. Dont fancy the Unichip on FI either, although it is capable. Just.

Yes, you do need to earth wire 15 otherwise your immobiliser will not disable as the the Spoon ECU wont match your key chip and its very simple to do (so my local Honda dealer told me).

Its something the yanks stumbled on years ago when they put the ECU in and literally nothing happened. The motors wouldn't even turn over. It's because Jap S2k's don't have immobilisers. Spoon Europe have been taking about Spoon UK spec ECU's for ages especially for the K20A but i'll believe it when I see it.

However i'd only recommend the Spoon ECU if you are going with an I/H/E as its designed to take advantage of those items (it's even better with some of their internal mods).

It's probably in the ESM manual? :)
