Maybe what you mean is that you feel the steering suddenly pull a different direction while your driving? That would be bump steer and you would use steering rack spacers as a fix

Don't worry about it hes only pulling your leg d: you'll find that a lot around here
The pull would be bump steer if it works in both directions and it depends on the road surface.. has your car been lowered?
The loose steering is definitely not normal and could be related to bushes/tie rod end
Do you feel knocking in the steering wheel when you shake the steering when stationary?
