Forgot to up date, we ended up dropping Anglesey it had being announced that Rockingham had being sold and was closing as a race track at the end of the year, as there was one sprint date left on the calendar 20th Oct and the fact we hadn't yet competed at Rockingham we opted to do this event in favour of Anglesey so that is where we are off to this Sat

Well that's the season over after my first and last time at Rockingham, did i come away happy, in one way yes i got 2nd in class but sorry i din't get out of the car what it was capable of, i don't have the confidence at a new venue to push the car to the limits and it takes me a while to settle in but so glad we went as it was our last chance to compete there and sad at the same time we hadn't gone earlier,
All in all though a great day out with Mike and Alex, Mike took the win but i nearly caught him on the last run, and Alex pulled in a 2nd in his class which was an excellent result as he is still on a 1A tyre up against 1B tyres on all the other cars in his group,
My last run at Rockingham which was my fastest at 86.39 but it was megga scrappy, lost all the gears at the turn back into the infield could have sworn it snicked in gear but was in neutral thought the brakes were fu*ked at first then too much dicking about on the infield sector so should have being loads quicker, the engine also decided to start smoking like a train on start up after a run which resulted in a smoke screen across the paddock, so engine rebuild time ready for next year
And a quick vid courtesy of Mikes dad of me running a section of the oval

Love the CR look - great looking front bumper!
And what a great track Rockingham is! Well done for the season, looking forward to hearing about the next! What winter plans do you have?

Winter plans include an engine refresh, new rods rings chain etc but the circuit rally season is on us kicking off with the Neil Howard stages at Oulton Park so i'll probably be service crew at most events

Lovely pedalling Ray. Was great finish to the year, albeit a sad one. I hope they manage to work something out in the future and keeping using the circuit. It was a lot of fun and feel like there's some unfinished business.
