Default Squeeking brakes

Since yesterday, my car has developed a brake squeel under very light breaking.

I recently changed brakes, using mintex pads and drilled and slotted rotors. I used copper grease everywhere i should have.

What can i do ?

Is it perhaps cheap crap pads ? They work really great, breaking is perfect !

Did you buy cheap crap pads?
If so, maybe that's the problem.
Otherwise, and this noise is only on light braking, have the brakes become glazed? Have you tried (in a safe place with nobody around) braking very hard from speed? That might sort it out.

If that ^ doesn't work, take the pads out again and chamfer the edges a bit, that'll sort it.

I had mintex pads and they squeaked when cold.

Regrease your shims and sliders too, I had the same problem.

It's the moantex pads. Mine do it too. All greased, flat shims, copper grease and sounds like a taxi

My Mintex pads only squeal very occasionally, but that's because I've lost the shims for the rear. The fronts never do.

You fitted new discs and pads at the same time?
Which bed-in process have you followed then - the one for the disc, or for the pads?

There lies the answer I suspect.

This reminds me when I first time change my braking pads and rotor, it was disaster man. Since then I never go for cheep solution, alto I don't get the most expensive. Last time when I got my wangers first I did some research on forums about wagner brakes then next step was to find people with similar experience and after I find all experience from the real drivers I find guide how to do it. Performance is great, low dust, no noise etc. Mate the Wagner brakes are way to go.

Forgive my supidity, but what do you mean shims ? lol

I've changed a few brakes in the past, but never had a squeek.

First will try to beat the shyt out of the brakes with some heavy stomping on the pedal.

Then will try smooth the edges off

Finally will just turf them and replace with something better.

Bedding in, i just took it easy for a few days, then increased breaking pressure until they came alive.

The thing is, Mintex may be cheap, but my breaking is superb, then again, cant comment since i havent tried top notch pads.
