Rob F, You ever see a MC Blue S2k just before you filled up with Chinese in Leam?? If you did, that was me.. if not, ever waved at a MC Blue s2k in Leam, probably on Leicester st? If you did, that was me..

Just trying to track down the 2 Silver s2ks I've seen around...

The actual offending part is the catch and/or the solid bit on the underside of the bonnet that slots into in.
The bit about pressing the corner of the bonnet is merely an easy way to get some movement to reproduce the squeak without having to bounce the wing which may cause a dent.

If its the cause of your squeak just clean and lubricate the catch area.

Incidentally my squeak have just reappeared after 1 year, time to fix it again

This is not a joke but take a stethoscope with you. It is then quite easy to pin point the squeek or noise. A Doctor friend is obviously useful in such cases.

Hi Dez

The bonnet is the hood and the boot is the trunk as you know it. The squeaking that was happening was coming from the hood catch right up front, but the sound was traveling way back, making it sound like there was a mouse living in the dashboard..........

Just bought a 2000 S2K and had same squeak. Pushed on the hood (bonnet) and whala same squeak. I'll clean and grease tomorrow, thanks!

NO! grease it the day after tomorrow, on the third day, that's the correct day to do resurrections.
