Default Stereo/radio door removal from surround

Hi, just wondered if anyone has or knows if you can remove the door only from surround?
Reason bein I have bought a later silver door but it came from one with a red dash board and mine is black. I Didn't want to start messing with it and brake it. Also both covers will be out of car.
Thanks.

Pulled mine off many times, just open the cover and gentle pull at both of the hinges on the side and they will release, after that the top ones come of real easy.
remember to put in 4th gear to get the space needed to remove the cover

Flat head screw driver at the top above the vents. Pops right off.

I think he means actually removing the door from the surround, rather than the door assembly.

I wouldn't have a clue how to change the doors over mate, sorry.

You need to push a pin out from one side - I used a watchmakers screwdriver and small nose pliers. It's fiddly - be careful not to scratch anything.
