Stoopid question re cusco braces on 8speed site and susp mods..
Hi, Im looking at the lower bracing options available here: http://www.eightspeed.co.uk/acatalog...d_Bracing.html
They all state AP1. Will they fit my 08?
Pretty sure its a yes but want to be sure.
And what suspension upgrade would you suggest that would improve handling without detriment to comfort, or even improvement to confort thanks to Glasgows shite roads, and minimal/subtle lowering.
thanks
S

No suspention upgrades help handling and assist in comfort , it's not a comfort car.

I thought >= UK 06 were AP2's except for F20 instead of F22 engines.
Is improving handling as well as confort that far fetched? I was wondering if through a combination of modification one could go some way to mimic Elise's suple yet great handling.
Intenionally mispelling "stupid" as "stoopid" is a self mocking attempt at ironic humour ;-)

rich wasn't joking when he spelt "suspension" incorrectly, but then he's dyslexixixic, apparently
I've just fitted a couple of the lower braces (rear cusco, front ebay jobbie) and they don't really make much difference, certainly not to the ride.
For big changes, you'd need to fit coilovers rather than braces.
As for the AP1/AP2 thing, the VIN numbers on all UK cars are "AP1" so all UK cars are technically AP1.
There's really very little difference between the two, other than the obvious cosmetic changes.

When I had my civic i-cdti 2.2, I looked heavily into the Koni FSD uprade to try and overcome the horrid crashy suspension, but got the s2000 before I got round to it. Those shocks are "Frequency Selective" so they soften high frequency bumps like pot holes but is stiff on smooth roads.
Best of both worlds or something like that...

Everything Iv fitted to my car has AP1 fitment stamped on it ,mine is a 09,it all fitted no problems.Cusco stuff seems to fit without any problems...but I cant compare as I havent fitted any other,apart from a Spoon X-Brace and Tanabe upper front.I asked the same question(AP1 AP2?) and somebody on this site really went off on one.
