Default Strongflex poly wishbone bushes

Hello chaps,

i have got front lower wishbone bushes to change for strongflex poly bushes, has anyone else fitted these to their cars?

My question being is, do the original bushes have to be burn out so they leave the outer metal bush insert (if that makes any sense) . Or can i just hydraulic press the old bushes out and fit the strongflex items? Or will they be too loose in the wishbone without the original bush sleeve?

I'm only doing front lower wishbone bushes and shock mount bushes, not compliance.

any advice would be appreciated,

cheers!

All of the bush needs to come out, so you will need to remove the outer ring that is left if you've ripped the rubber part out.

Well that's not the case with my powerflex bushes.

Beat them out with a hammer and chisel

I've read the outer shell of some of the bushings need to remain in place for Energy Suspension bushings. But yeah, this has no relevance to you and your situation but thought I'd just mention it anyway.
