I have a USB stick installed in the pictures, it's a really tiny one but didn't cost that much.
Regular size ones would be to long, I have tried
Haven't tried the BT thing but the manual says "2 Phones Full-Time Connection" so should work.

Thanks - was afraid of that may have to head for the more expensive one with the rear facing usb - and run a cable as they do with the IPOD leads ;-)

It keeps the front USB free for phone charging at least ;-)

Which auto leads cable did you get? That lets you use the dash controls, right? Looks like a good deal - very tempted!

Me? I got the PC99-X61 and PC99-JVC (JVC specific patch lead) £20 from ebay.
It uses all the dash controls except the mute button, but if you hold the big mode button it will mute.

Same as flanders but with the Alpine Patch Lead, its 19.60 delivered so it made the Alpine less than 100 quid all in

Of course the JVC would have been even cheaper, around £80 all in, but since I did the overtime I went for the posher name!! lol

JVC and lead at 80 though for what it gives you and to replace the stock HU is a steal!!!

Got exactly the same set up as you've just ordered, going to be fitting tonight!

Just trying to work out where I should run the mic cable?
I thought about sitting the mic next to one of the proximity sensors of the alarm, next to the A pillar but don't know how I'm going to get the cable down to the rear of the head unit without causing massive grief..

Will update once I've given it a go tonight.

Nice one Will!

Maybe it can come out by where your knee would be then be cable tied along above the pedals and then up the door pillar? Although I've not looked to see how long the cable is yet!!

Incredibly long and very thin!

I reckon there's enough cable to make it's way around the cabin and back before running out

I am quite concerned about the amount of wiring loom that I need to cram behind the head unit, with all 3 looms connected up there's quite a bit of cable that you need to 'post' out of the way.

Yes it pretty tight behind the head unit, I removed the mute relay thing though since that didn't seem to have any function.
If you look at the picture with all the wires I posted above it's the black box in the middle.
