I guess on the driveway, I can stand back and swear too. I'd hate sparks flying in the garage near the gas boiler, can you imagine. Frank Spencer springs to mind haha.
Likely I'll take my time and give the suspension arms a paint too. MOT due in march so hopefully this will be a good preventative.
The split bushes never revealed themselves on the last MOT, guessing that underneath they may not show the rubber splits but above, they can be seen.

I don`t think I could attempt it in a standard UK single garage, I always prefer working outside when conditions allow. Doing one side at a time is ok as you can see where things go should you forget, it does help to have the drop links off both sides though so you can move the anti roll bar out of the way.

I contemplated doing it the garage but very glad I didn’t. It would’ve been possible but much more frustrating and difficult.

outside was the way to go and I’m north of Aberdeen so it gets dark not long after 3pm at this time of year.

The naughty Compliance bushes from above. Strange thing is, it feels taut still. But - pushing it, the sloppyness rears it's ugly head on the B roads.

Goodies arrived....

Just a waiting game with the weather I guess, and arranging a week day off to coincide with the weekend. In case things go pear shaped

Good luck, I decided to get a set of HEL braided hoses while I was in there so have the 2 rears to fit this week and I am all done.
Not a job I would ever want to do again to be honest but its nice when all the hard stuff is done.

The saga finally ended for me this morning, wheels now aligned and all good. Feels very nice on the road but will have to wait for some better weather for a proper test.

That's good news.
I have a white marker pen to mark the chassis where the cams are lined up to. But I will also get the alignment done, critical not to guess this once buttoned and torqued.
Still hoping that a good dose of pb blaster will allow the lca sleeve to be free from the old bush. I did mean to do that prior but weather hasn't been great to fanny about on the drive. Excuses excuses eh
